- 2 eggs - separated
- 2 cups of milk - use buttermilk if you can
- 1/3 cup Branch & Vines Vanilla extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp amaretto liqueur
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp sugar
- Branch & Vines Sea Salt Caramel Sauce or Spiced Peach Bourbon Jam
Separate the eggs, yolks, and whites, and combine the egg yolks, milk, oil, and amaretto. Whisk to combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. Now combine the leftover egg whites with the sugar and whip to stiff peaks. Stir the liquid into the flour mixture while making sure the batter is still a little lumpy. Then fold in the eggs whites while being careful not to deflate them.
Pour the batter into a preheated waffle maker, and cook at least for 3-4 minutes. Warm up the banana nut or Caramel sauce on the stovetop or microwave. At last, top the finished waffles with the desired amount of sauce.
